What We Do & How We Do It

To reiterate from our home page, Carpet Restore & More is a family owned and operated business, not a franchise all work is satisfaction, our name and reputation are on the line.

We use professional portable cleaning equipment. How does this benefit our customers? Truck mounted cleaning equipment hose's must enter through a open entry door or open access to your home causing heat loss in the winter and cool air loss in the summer also allowing flying insects a clear entry to your home during the warmer months. Yes, our portable units have hoses however they are attached to our equipment  behind your closed doors. We use hot water ranging up to 170F recommended cleaning temperature is 150F.

Step1- consist of arriving at your home or business establishing your wants and needs and providing you with appropriate pricing. We will not bait and switch pricing! We will continue to build our business on integrity as our foundation.

Step 2-consist of vacuuming the areas to be cleaned, we want to clean your carpet not the loose soil. When was the last time a carpet cleaner performed this important basic task?

Step 3-consist of prespraying your entire carpet rather than just prespraying spots. Many times spots are hidden further into your carpet or soil is heavier in certain spots, we need to loosen and emulsify spots, stains and soil for a thorough job. The prespray will be left on the carpet to do its job for a proper length of time which we refer to as dwell time.

Step 4-consist of machine scrubbing your entire carpet to further loosen and emulsify spots,stains,and soils. Did your last carpet cleaner do this?

Step 5- consist of hot water fiber rinse extraction, by doing this we remove residual detergents. You will notice this leaves your carpet soft and your carpet will not resoil as fast. If your carpets are not rinsed properly sticky residual residue from detergents will attract soil like a magnet. Our textile carpet rinse not only cleanses your carpeting but will speed drying time up to 30% faster depending upon style and fiber of carpet. We will also incorporate the use of air movers when possible upon request to again increase speed of drying time.  Our equipment is terrific for leaving the minimal amount of water on your carpet which increases drying time!

Step 6- consist of final grooming with a grooming rake to ensure proper drying. Grooming raises up the carpet fibers for better drying and appearance. Booties and/or paper runners are available at no extra charge.

Step 7- consist of any topical applications you may have decided on such as 3M Scotchgard stain protector, odor neutralizer, mold and mildew control, insect control. Note: Keep pets and children off carpeting until dry when any topical application has been made, adults should also remain off carpeting if possible.

Step 8- consist of placing furniture pads under furniture in the cleaning area to prevent stain or dye transfer from furniture to carpet. These should be left in place until carpet is completely dry.
